Neiman Marcus invited the Dream Guild to partake in a brunch with author, Jamee Gregory on November 2. The morning was a celebration of her newest book, New York Parties Private Views.

Jamee Gregory's book takes readers into the homes of New York's social set, while they entertain with over-the-top flair. The events are inspirational within stylish homes. Whether it is a hunt breakfast with Fernanda Kellogg in Millbrook or a summer fete with the Platt's in SoHo, these New Yorkers know how to entertain. Every aspect of the parties are well thought out and no detail goes unnoticed.


My favorite fly-on-the-wall reads are the parties given by talented fashion designers. Creativity abounds when these creative types throw a bash. Michael Kors hosted a beautiful evening atop his Manhattan terrace, serving his favorite lobster rolls as the main course. Tori Burch treated her business team to an afternoon lunch, catered by Milos, within her home. Zang Toi created an idyllic atmosphere with a black and white tea inside his Marie Antoinette inspired halls. It's all in the details!


We sipped on coffee as Jamee dished out commentary on the homes and parties within her book. The beautiful images captured by photographer, Eric Striffler, jump off the pages and give insight into the style of the most experienced entertainers. After flipping through this book, I'm inspired to come up with some ideas of my own.
